The objective of a game in Legends is to either:

Archetypes
Just like in Everquest II, there are four archetypes in Legends:

Fighter | Fighter Starter Deck |

Mage | Mage Starter Deck |
 |
Priest | Priest Starter Deck |
 |
Scout | Scout Starter Deck |
You pick your archetype and build your deck of cards around that archetype.
You cannot use different archetype's cards in the same deck, though there are numerous generic (no archetype) cards.
Cards
You can get Legends cards by purchasing them from the SOE Station Store, or from in-game drops in Everquest I and II.
Cards come in five basic different types, as seen below:
